Application use

DanannIQ application code does not use cookies to store calculator answers. Your calculator answers are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to a DanannIQ backend or stored by DanannIQ, and they are not persisted in localStorage or sessionStorage.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is optional and loads only after your explicit analytics consent is saved and confirmed. This helps us understand website usage, traffic and engagement. DanannIQ does not set analytics cookies before consent. Until consent is confirmed, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no analytics data is sent. Rejecting analytics does not affect the calculator, BER tools or other necessary site functionality.

After acceptance, Google Analytics can use first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a stream identifier to distinguish browsers and sessions. These identifiers are not anonymous. We configure these cookies with a lifetime of up to 180 days, which may be renewed during consented use. Analytics may include pages visited, interactions, referring websites and device or browser information. We do not send calculator answers, BER documents, photos or extracted text as analytics events. Advertising consent remains disabled.

Your choice and browser storage

We remember your analytics choice for 180 days only in first-party localStorage under dananniq.analytics-consent.v1. This stores only the choice, notice version and expiry time, not an analytics identifier. No cookie is used to remember acceptance or rejection. If the preference is missing, invalid or expired, analytics remains off until you accept again. If localStorage is unavailable or your choice cannot be saved and confirmed, analytics remains disabled, even if you select Accept analytics.

You can refuse analytics or change your choice at any time using Analytics preferences in the footer. Selecting Reject analytics after accepting stops future analytics collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. It does not undo information already sent while consent was granted. Clearing your browser storage removes the saved choice.

BER documents and photos, PDF extraction, OCR text and reviewed BER details are also processed on your device without application persistence in cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB. Reviewed details stay in temporary memory for the visit; refreshing, leaving the planner or clearing the session removes them. Local OCR software and language assets may be cached as ordinary website files by your browser; this does not store your BER documents or answers.

Hosting and security

The hosting and security infrastructure used to deliver and protect DanannIQ may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms where applicable. These are separate from calculator answers, which remain in temporary browser memory and are not persisted by the application. This notice will be updated if DanannIQ's use of cookies or similar technologies materially changes.
